About Lara

Lara Martin is a recording artist and inspirational speaker with a music career spanning over two decades. As a songwriter she is best known for her songs 'The Voice of Hope', 'God is Here' and 'Divine Exchange' which are sung in church congregations world-wide. These and many more of Lara's songs are regularly played on radio including Premier Radio, UCB and BBC Radio 2. Lara has had the privilege of performing a number of times on BBC Songs of Praise and also at the UK's National Day Of Prayer and Worship at Wembley Stadium.

 

Lara is passionate about helping and equipping others and will often combine her gift in music with teaching. She is a sought after speaker and musical artist. From national conferences to coffee shops, from cathedrals to contemporary churches, from memorials to corporate events, Lara has a unique way of connecting with audiences and listeners what ever the setting. Whether she is singing or giving an inspirational talk, hosting an event or teaching a workshop, Lara's approach is personal, sensitive and engaging. 

Lara is an advocate for national baby loss charity 'Saying Goodbye' and regularly performs at their remembrance services held in cathedrals and minsters. She has also served as an ambassador for international children's charity 'World Vision' and Bradford based children's charity 'One in a Million'. 

In 2019 Lara qualified as a professional Funeral Celebrant. She now holds an NOCN Level 3 Diploma in Funeral Celebrancy, the highest level accredited national qualification in Funeral Celebrancy in the UK.

Lara lives in Yorkshire with her husband Jonathan and two sons.
